If your a Brisbanite or your visiting and your looking for something to do this weekend you really have to check out the The Eat Street Markets, I cannot recommend them enough. The markets are located on Hamilton Wharf next to Portside and open every Friday and Saturday from 4:00pm-10pm. They are unlike any other market I've experienced, the markets consists of 50 old shipping containers which have been reconfiguered to create restuarants and galleries for vendors to sell handcrafts. There are a few funky cute little stores but this market is definately all about the food they don't call it Eat Street for nothing.

The containers sit below a magical lighting and flag display and it feels like your amongst an Asian Night Market there is plenty of trendy seating for all to enjoy but I recommend to get there early to secure a nice spot and to beat the queues. There is a range of international cuisine from Japanese Pizzas (go figure). to Italian, Mexican, Greek, Asian, Middle Eastern and more when combined with Beer, Wine, cocktails and live entertainment it makes for a two thumbs up kinda night. Oh yes and three thumbs up from me as they serve my fav potato on a stick.

They have been only running for 2 months now and are in a great location with plenty of free parking on site. I hope you get the chance to visit these unique markets you won't be disappointed. I've added the official website below for location details and more information.

If your were a fan of My Kitchen Rules brother sister duo Jake and Elle have a stand there called Chitty Banh Banh serving Asian inspired cuisine
