DAY 20

I would have loved to have taken the girls to do some volunteer work but maybe in some time when they are a bit older. Instead we gave gifts to the  Kmart wishing tree appeal, if you Australian you'll know what this is and if your not maybe you have something similar in your country. The salvation army and Kmart together accept gifts on behalf of children who are not so fortunate but in addition to children they gift anyone of any age having a hard time over the Xmas period.

Its really simple if your interested in the gift of giving here's how

WHERE : Any Kmart store

HOW : Bring a wrapped home made or bought gift in store to Kmart and fill out a gift tag stating information about the gift ie: Ideal Age & Gender, then drop off under the Christmas Wish Tree. Alternatively you can purchase anything at all from household items to food and place it in the express drop off point The Salvation Army will then distribute to those in need.

You can also give a donation through any Kmart register or online.

I think this is a good idea to do with children, you can get them involved to choose who they are shopping for and pick something specific it's a good way to teach them to give back.
